A George Washington Carver Intern @ The World Food Prize Foundation.
Reviewing my recent
opportunity
to make a global
difference.
This is me
Hello! My name is Josh Grimm and I am a student at the University of Iowa pursuing a B.A. in Spanish paired with a certificate in Fundraising and Philanthropy Communications. Over the course of the summer of 2019, I was allowed the opportunity to act as a George Washington Carver intern at The World Food Prize Foundation. During my time at this world-renowned organization, I learned valuable skills under my mentors on the National Expansion team that can be applied to several different environments.
International Inclusivity Writing
Nonprofit Management
Communications Website Design
Events Content Fundraising
Office Management
I provided support to the National Expansion team with my unique nonprofit management skills.
I am extremely grateful for all of the opportunities and professional experiences that have helped prepare me for a career post-graduation. Specifically, The World Food Prize helped me refine the skills I have learned at the University of Iowa and put them to the test out in the real world. I have now realized that a career in the nonprofit sector is a strong course of action and the participation with the George Washington Carver Internship has provided me with necessary practice.
